DNF: Halo-Alexandra Adornetto

Blurb:
Three angels are sent down to bring good to the world: Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer; and Bethany, a teenage girl who is the least experienced of the trio. But she is the most human, and when she is romantically drawn to a mortal boy, the angels fear she will not be strong enough to save anyone—especially herself—from the Dark Forces.

Is love a great enough power against evil?

My Thoughts:
I don't like to put books aside, but one of my new year's resolutions (to myself) is to not force myself to read a book that I didn't enjoy. So with that, I have to say I did not finish Halo. I just could not get into it. The writing itself wasn't horrible, but to me the story felt very cliched.  I know this book has it's fans, but I am not one of them.

  1. I've had a couple of books I couldn't finish too, so kudos for having the guts to put it down instead of suffering through a book you weren't enjoying! I wasn't thrilled with Halo, so don't think you missed much by not finishing it. Hope your next read is more to your liking!
